Deborah Singer has governmental and legislative experience on a
national level. Formerly, Ms. Singer was General Counsel to the
Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations in Washington,
D.C., a trade association representing transportation planning organizations.
In this role, she managed all legislative, regulatory, advocacy,
and legal work on behalf of the organization.
Previously, Deborah was an American Planning Association Congressional
Fellow in the Washington Office of U.S. Senator Carl Levin where
she worked on land use and development issues. Ms. Singer represents
clients in negotiating public/private partnerships, redevelopment
agreements, and the economics of development incentives.
Ms. Singer holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from
Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a J.D. and an M.S.
in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Wisconsin
– Madison.
