Public/Education Projects

The City also approved TIF assistance for projects to construct or redevelop educational facilities, museums, and to create parks and open space. In many instances, the City entered into intergovernmental agreements with the governmental agency responsible for the particular project. In certain cases, these projects received a pledge of TIF assistance in an amount equal to 100% of the total budget for those projects.

On average, public/education projects received the highest percentage of pledged assistance as compared to their project budgets, or approximately 59%.
